The guide is created in the frame of the European Poultry: A Sustainable Choice project, which emphasises the benefits of consuming poultry meat produced in the EU and showcases the EU poultry sector’s commitment to sustainable practices and reducing food waste across the supply chain – from production to consumption. A core component of this initiative involves delivering knowledge and tools for consumers to adopt zero-waste practices in their daily lives.

The BREADCRUMB Project:  Tackling Food Waste in the Meat Sector

In addition to supporting consumers, the European poultry sector is taking significant steps to address food waste at the production level. As a key partner in the meat case study of the BREADCRUMB project, the sector, represented by AVEC, contributes to fostering a circular and sustainable food system through the project’s goals.
